Introducing the game modes in “TOKYO GHOUL:re CALL to EXIST”
In previous articles, we talked about the “Action Gauge” battle mechanic and some of the playable “Ghoul”, [CCG], and Quinx characters that will be available in “TOKYO GHOUL:re CALL to EXIST”. This time we’ll get into the game system and modes in the game so you can be ready to pick up and play as soon as the game is out on November 15, 2019!
Campaign Mode
Traverse multiple maps and areas either solo or with up to four players in this mode! Either way, you’ll have to utilize teamwork to survive waves of enemies and to defeat challenging bosses.
Recollections Mode
In this single player mode, you’ll fight your way through hordes of enemies as you complete the mission goal. After clearing the main stage by using Kaneki or Haise, different characters will be playable in a different sub-stage! Practice honing your skills and battle techniques in this mode.
Ken Kaneki
A powerful Ghoul who has been rated as a SS Ghoul. He is full in rage and craves the blood of humans.
Goal: To destroy the [CCG] by making full use of his Kagune and super-human powers.
Kagune - Bikaku: Uses the Kagune that was transplanted from Rize Kamishiro. Its sweeping attacks make it a great tool to use against large groups.
Haise Sasaki
The leader of the [CCG]’s “Quinx Squad” who lost his memory of the past 20 years. Despite being a human-ghoul hybrid with a Kagune, he is eager to guide his subordinates to victory.
Goal: To defeat the Ghouls by using his Quinque and other weapons.
Quinque - Yukimura 1/3: Able to attack with lightning-quick slashes. Blast enemies away with the special attack!
Survival Mode
An all-out WAR! In this mode, you’ll have to survive until all of the enemies are annihilated – or until you and your team are destroyed! Stand alone on the battlefield or play with up to four players.
Battle Mode
Choose a side to fight for – Ghouls or [CCG]? Pick your side and form a team of four to battle against the opposing team of four. Pick from two rule settings – Team Death Match and Point Match – to get the battle started and see who really reigns supreme!
Team Death Match
You will win once you wipe out all of your enemies
Point Match
Win by gaining more points than your enemy
