EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE

We’re shaking this up with some new ways to gain Ranking Points to qualify for the TEKKEN World Tour. While the prestigious Evolution Championship Series will still hold an exclusive Master+ category for high ranked players, the new Dojo division brings the chance of competing to newcomers that perform well on base tournaments registered to the TEKKEN World Tour.

In addition to the 28 stops on the TEKKEN World Tour, there will be minor competitions held around the world that will bring new talent to the table as well as help experienced players gain more Ranking Points.

Check out how the Ranking Points are awarded in each placement for the four categories. The Dojo will have a different value based on the number of players participating in the tournament.

At the end of the year, the top 19 players will qualify for the TEKKEN World Tour Finals held in Bangkok, Thailand.

BEARING SURPRISES

In 2018, the TEKKEN World Tour trophy went to the South Korean player, Rangchu. Featuring Panda as his main fighter (considered by many as a low-tier character, Rangchu made a marvelous comeback from the losers bracket to advance to the TEKKEN World Tour Finals where he defeated fellow veteran and fellow South Korean, Qudans (the defending champion), with a 2-0 score - featuring two 3-1 sets.

Will Rangchu be able to defend his champion title? Will Panda prevail and surprise us again? Will we have a South Korean claim the championship for a third time in a row? Luckily, you can watch all 28 TEKKEN World Tour stops livestreamed via our partner, Twitch, on the game’s official channel.

NEW FACES

Since last year’s TEKKEN World Tour Finals, there have been more characters added to the game. Most recently, The Walking Dead’s Negan and TEKKEN veteran, Julia Chang, were added to the roster along with fan favorites Craig Marduk and Armor King in December. Season 2 characters will bring more excitement to this year’s TEKKEN World Tour along with upcoming updates that the TEKKEN 7 development team are currently working on.

Prepare yourself as the TEKKEN World Tour kicks off this April as we travel around around the glove in search of the next 2019 King of the Iron Fist Tournament champion. Be sure to check all of the dates on the official website https://tekkenworldtour.com/ and stay tuned for upcoming Dojo tournaments in your area for a chance to become the new TEKKEN 7 champion!
