But What is a “Chogokin”?
We’re glad you asked! The term “Chogokin” originates from the anime/manga industry. It was adopted by Popy in 1972 as the name of die-cast metal used in robot and character toys sold in Japan. The first Chogokin's popularity changed the face of the Japanese toy industry in the 1970s. Here at Bandai Namco, we have continued the Chogokin legacy. Eagle-eyed PAC-FANs will recognize that this is a different colorway of an existing PAC-MAN figurine.
