MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE - Developer's Blog VOL. 18

January 22, 2025

Greetings to all MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE Players!
Today marks the “Season 9” starts, the first new season of 2025!
We would like to express our gratitude to all our loyal players.

We will begin as always by introducing the new character: this time is Kurogiri.
Kurogiri’s Quirk Skill “Warp Gate” makes him a character who can pull off special moves.

Kurogiri can not only teleport himself and allies, but even opponents.
This allows him to assist with movement, set up attacks from enemies’ blind spots, and warp downed teammates back to where they can be safely revived, making him a multifaceted support character with a specialty for surprise attacks and aiding allies.

Be sure to make good use of “Warp Gate” to gain an advantageous position on the high ground and other spots, as well as aid your allies from the rear to guide your whole team to victory.

It’s been a while since we had a new Villain in game, so we hope you will enjoy playing with Kurogiri!

KurogiriNext up, major changes have been made to “Season Licenses”.
This developer's letter will provide a general outline, but please stay tuned for a video in the coming days that will break down all of the changes clearly.

For the time being, please check the changes in this developer's note and in-game.
Thus far, Rewards have been split between “Licenses” and “Missions”, but from now on they will all be obtainable through Licenses.

As for Missions, “License EXP” will now be obtainable from them instead.
Though all obtainable Rewards are now tied to your License, the system has been designed so that the more you play with Missions in mind, the easier Rewards are to acquire. So, while enjoying battles is the most important thing, we hope you will also aim to clear Missions as you do so.

Furthermore, many Items related to the T.U.N.I.N.G. System will be available as Season License Rewards. We hope you’ll aim to get these and play with this system introduced last Season.

And not only that, but we have designed Season License Rewards to be even juicier from this season on, with things such as PUR-rarity Costumes up for grabs.

In addition to these changes, we have also increased the maximum level for Season Licenses from 50 to 70.

Our basic intention is for players to have a Level 50 Season License as one of their goals, and so we have made Hero Crystals obtainable up until that level. Levels 51 and above are something of an extra challenge for those who play the game even more over the course of the Season: go for them if you can!

Along with the improvements to Rewards, however, we made the decision to increase the number of Hero Crystals required to unlock the Pro License.

We kindly ask for your understanding, as we are also increasing the number of Hero Crystals obtainable on the way to Level 50.

MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE CrystalsFinally, for the Players who have not had time to play the game as much as they wanted and missed out on some of the Rewards, we have made it possible to directly exchange your License EXP for Hero Crystals. In addition, we have discontinued the Pro License with EXP.

For those who want a boost from the start, or to shorten their times as they are “a little short” of EXP, give the exchanging EXP system a try.

Moving forward, a completely new third stage has been added: “Chaos City”!
“Chaos City” has many underground areas and multiple terrains, making it a map where your location becomes very important both inside and outside.

Starting from Season 9, “Chaos City”, “U.A. Island Ver. 02”, and “U.S.J. Ver. 02” will be rotated, which will allow players to enjoy a wider variety of stages.

In “U.A. Island Ver. 02”, “Jumping Platforms” have been installed to make it easier to move around in three dimensions, and now icons will appear on the mini-map to make it easier to locate the Jumping Platform in each stage. Make full use of these when battling to gain an advantage on the enemy teams!

UA IslandIn addition, we have implemented several other changes to make Season 9 even easier to play.

Firstly, up until now the “Team Enhancement Kit” was putting pressure on the Bag, so we decided to increase the stackable number to three.

On the Mission screen, the “Filter Function” has been added to narrow down the list of Missions by achievement conditions and making it easier to browse.

Regarding the T.U.N.I.N.G. System, as it was not possible to see the “T.U.N.I.NG.” details of things such as Costumes featured in Rolls, we changed it so that now you can check the T.U.N.I.N.G. details for featured Costumes on the main screen.

Moreover, on the “T.U.N.I.N.G. Settings” screen, you are now able to check the details of specific characters, whether you possess them or not.

Frozen All MightThat was the last announcement for this Blog, thank you very much for sticking with us until the end!

We will continue to develop and operate the game so that more players can enjoy it in the future!

We hope you continue to enjoy MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE.
