UNIQUE TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Unlike traditional competitions, the DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO - THE DRAMATIC SHOWDOWN - GRAND FINALS focuses on the characters themselves! Each champion qualified for the Grand Finals will play with a preset character to create a unique show.

Players from around the world will compete for a chance to qualify for the DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO - THE DRAMATIC SHOWDOWN - GRAND FINALS event, happening at the DRAGON BALL: GAMES BATTLE HOUR 2025 in Los Angeles, CA on January 18-19, 2025!

Online Qualifiers

To select the 16 players who will compete in our epic showdown, we’ll host a series of online tournaments across 9 countries and regions following the below schedule.

Each of the champion from the Online qualifiers will be playing the corresponding character to the Grand Finals.

Battle Hour Qualifiers

Seven extra players will qualify to the Grand Finals via 7 qualifiers tournament to happen at Battle Hour on the 18th of January, 2025. Each of the 7 Champion will be playing the corresponding 7 characters during the Grand Finals.

Tournament Rules and Terms

The rules will be the same for both the Online and the Battle Hour qualifiers.

Game: DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO
Platform: PlayStation® 5

Tournament Format:

• Best of 3 games (First to 2 wins), single Elimination

Mode:

• DP Battle (15 Points)
• Players can freely pick their team of characters with a limit of 15 DP for the whole team
• Winnter of a game must stay with the same chracters for the next consecutive game in a set
• Loser of a game may change characters
• Items not allowed
• No restrictions on stage

Time Limit: 600 seconds

THE GRAND FINALS

The Format

Each of the 16 champions will compete using one of the preset characters displayed on the tournament tree below. These characters were selected based on in-game balance and player favorites. In our producer message video, we conducted a draw to determine which champion will play which character during the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals Rules

Character Selection

Each player will start with the preset character that was drawn for his qualifier. The players can add a second character to their team from a pool of 40 characters. The pool includes characters with an in-game level of less than 4 DP to bring more variation and fun.

Different characers' forms allowed

Players can start with the form of the character they prefer, providing more freedom in gameplay.
